ATLANTA (AP) -- The Georgia Legislative Black Caucus plans to unveil an exhibit exploring the history of black politicians in the state.
Chairman of the caucus state Sen. Emanuel Jones, a Decatur Democrat, plans to preside over the unveiling Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Auburn Avenue Research Library.
The caucus invites the public to participate in the opening of
the exhibit called "Georgia Legislative Black Caucus: Remembering Our Legends and Honoring Our Torchbearers."
Visitors will have a chance to see rare political documents that have impacted the state's history, as well as watch a documentary revealing the legislative journey for blacks in Georgia's political system.
