ATLANTA (AP) -- The Atlanta Hawks plan to cover the tolls drivers
normally pay on Georgia 400 during Tuesday morning's rush hour.
The team said in a statement it will pay the 50-cent tolls from
7 a.m. to 9 a.m. Tuesday to promote the return of NBA basketball
after a labor agreement was reached, ending a lockout.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that former Hawk Dominique Wilkins and mascot Harry the Hawk and the Hawks cheerleaders will be at the toll plaza Tuesday morning.
The Hawks start their home schedule with a preseason game
against the Charlotte Bobcats on Dec. 22. The regular season begins
at home on Dec. 28 against the Washington Wizards.
